KAPPA is a command-driven package. Commands have parameters by which you can qualify their behaviour. Parameters are obtained in response to prompts or supplied on a command line.
For convenience, the main aspects of the parameter system
as seen by a user of KAPPA are described below, but note
that most of what follows is applicable to any Starlink
application.
