Frame Attributes

Each co-ordinate Frame has several attributes which determine its properties. This section lists the most important of these. See SUN/210 for a complete description of the properties of Frames and their attributes. The application WCSATTRIB can be used to examine attribute values associated with the current Frame of an NDF, and change the values of those which are not read-only.

Digits/Digits(axis) - Number of digits of precision
Domain - Co-ordinate system domain
Epoch - Epoch of observation
Equinox - Epoch of the mean equinox (SkyFrames only)
Format(axis) - Format specification for axis values
GeoLat - The geodetic latitude of the observer (SpecFrames only)
GeoLon - The geodetic longitude of the observer (SpecFrames only)
Label(axis) - Axis label
Naxes - Number of Frame axes
RefDec - The declination of the reference point (SpecFrames only)
RefRA - The right ascension of the reference point (SpecFrames only)
RestFreq - The rest frequency (SpecFrames only)
SourceVel - The source velocity (SpecFrames only)
SourceVRF - Rest frame in which the source velocity is stored (SpecFrames only)
StdOfRest - Standard of rest (SpecFrames only)
Symbol(axis) - Axis symbol
System - Co-ordinate system used to describe positions within the domain
Title - Frame title
Unit(axis) - Axis physical units
