Getting Help

Information describing all POLPACK commands is available in several forms:

• As simple text in the command-line window. Type:

  % polhelp
  

  Additional arguments may be given indicating the subject on which help is required. For instance:

  % polhelp polka parameters
  

  will enter the help library at the point containing information on the parameters available for application POLKA.

• As hypertext in a separate browser window. Type:

  % showme sun223
  

• In response to prompts issued by applications for parameter values. Entering a single question mark will display help on the parameter being prompted for, and then return you to the parameter prompt. Entering two question marks also displays help on the parameter, but will leave you in the help library, allowing you to navigate through any other necessary topics. Leaving the help library returns you to the parameter prompt.

• Additional information describing the detailed use of the POLKA GUI is available from the Help menu within the GUI.
