DELETE-FROM-MAP

Remove a spectrum from a SPECX map file. At present only indexes spectra by position in file - use LIST-MAP to examine the map and choose the spectrum to be removed. There is no equivalent of the COMPRESS-FILE command for map files, but the next spectrum added to the map will be inserted in the first available vacant location, so that a RECOVER-MAP command is not possible.

Examples:

    >> delete-from-map<CR>
    Spectrum # to delete [ 0] 72<CR>
