Logical names

A list of the logical names required to run SPECX is given below for reference. (defaults shown in brackets). All except sys_specx will be set up in SPECXSTART.COM

SYS_SPECX
Top-level SPECX directory.
SPINIT
Initialization script (.spx) file.
SPECXDIR
Directory where your plot files and other output will appear (SYS$LOGIN)
SPECX_COMMAND
Default directory for supplied or ``built-in'' macros ([SPECX.COMMAND_FILES])
SPECX_DUMP
Logical name for the dump file in which the environment is saved (SPECX.DMP).
SPECX_ERRORDIR
Default directory for compiled error messages (SYS_SPECX).
SPECX_EXEDIR
Directory where SPECX executable is to be found (SYS_SPECX).
SPECX_HELP
Default SPECX help library (SYS_SPECX:SPECX.HLB).
SPECX_INIT
Fortran NAMELIST initialization file (SYS_SPECX:SPECX_INIT.DAT).
SPECX_LOCAL
Directory in which your site-specific initialization files are to be found ([SPECX.LOCAL]).
SPECX_WELCOME
Default ``login'' message file, that is typed when you enter SPECX (SYS_SPECX:SPECX_WELCOME.TXT).
