This routine is still at an experimental stage. It reads back (1-D) FITS files written by SPECX, and so should also read CLASS files (the application for which there is most, if not much, demand). At present the FITS reader works on disk files, and with a blocking factor of 1, only, although it is able to deal with byte reversal if required to do so. If demand is manifested I could probably force myself to write a tape reader also.
