READ-GSD-DATA

Read a spectrum into the stack from a GSD data file. Since GSD scans may contain several spectra (including some at the same position) you may have to select from amongst several. This can be done using the sequence number, or by the actual position on the sky (if there are several spectra at one position this latter will generate a list of possibilities from which you have to choose one). In the example below the selected spectrum contained two independent scans (corresponding to two polarizations or receivers); each was read from the GSD file and pushed onto the stack.

Relevant flags:
NO_NEW_SPECTRA I4 Number of spectra created by this READ.

Examples:

    >> read-gsd-data<CR>
    GSD scan number? [ 46] <CR>
    Data seem to be pre-Sept.88
Seq # of spectrum in GSD file? (<CR> to select by position on sky) 1<CR>
         (x,y) offset = ( -80.0, 10.0) arcsec
         (r,d) offset = ( 80.0, 10.0) arcsec
